Jonathan C. Brandt, CFP®
Jonathan C. Brandt is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and has been the owner of Journey Tree Financial Planning and Investments since 1993. Jonathan is a past president of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), Mid-Oregon Chapter, and founded its annual Spring Symposium. In addition to extensive professional reading, he attends over 40 hours of financial planning and investment seminars per year.
Jonathan has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Iowa. He has been active in a number of community organizations in Eugene since 1988, serving as president of the Eugene Gleemen, Willamette Repertory Theatre, and the Eugene Tree Foundation. He currently serves on the statewide board of Friends of Trees.
Jason Nelson-Elting, JD
Jason Nelson-Elting assists with financial planning and operations at Journey Tree. Prior to joining us, he served as a financial advisor, counselor, and small-business coach. Jason attended the University of Oregon for both his undergraduate degree and law school. After graduating with a law degree, he chose to pursue a career in the financial sector rather than becoming an attorney.
Jason grew up in rural southern Oregon and settled in Eugene in 2009. He loves the outdoors and spends much of his free time mountain biking, climbing, skiing, hiking, and playing lawn games with his friends and family.
Irina Pack, MBA
Irina Pack brings with her over a decade of experience in the field of finance in various roles in both institutional investment consulting and corporate finance settings. Her investment background includes investment analysis and research, financial modeling, and qualitative and quantitative due diligence.
Irina earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington and a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Oregon. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and playing the violin.
Ingrid Brandt, Intern
Ingrid will be spending part of her time this summer helping with a range of projects at Journey Tree. We look forward to her assistance and cheerful presence while we continue to search for a new entry level financial planner for the office.
